Mastered a new skill - Angel food cake!! Homemade, from scratch.
This is the cake that I request for my own birthday every year since I've met my mother-in-law.
I've always been intimidated by making it myself but today, it was what my son requested for his birthday cake. And I did it!!
The kids and I are strange and don't even like it with berries.. it distracts from the pure taste of the cake. Just a little barely-sweetened whipping cream on top. But to each their own!
Happy birthday, Lucas! Thanks for always being one of my biggest food critics 🤣 but also one of my biggest cheer leaders!

Tis the season for King Cakes! 👑

Enjoy a delicious homemade Mardi Gras King Cake and let the good times roll! Made with a sweet brioche dough and a cinnamon OR cream cheese filling.

If you have never had King Cake before, you can think of it as a cross between a Danish pastry and a giant cinnamon roll shaped like a wreath and covered with colored sugar sprinkles.
The cake is shaped like a crown to symbolize the three kings or wise men who visited Christ after his birth. The colors are symbolic too and represent faith (green), justice (purple), and power or prosperity (yellow or gold).
One of the fun things about king cake is the tradition of the tiny baby figurine hidden inside, which symbolizes prosperity and luck. Whoever ends up with the slice with the baby is said to be King or Queen for the day! The lucky one who finds the baby is also supposed to provide the King Cake the following year. Just be careful if you are the one slicing the king cake, because if you slice the baby it's considered bad luck!

I'm making these for the season from Epiphany all the way through Fat Tuesday.
A small one feeds 10 to 12 for $24, a large one feeds 20 to 22 servings for $45.

Chocolate is always a classic, but this s'mores cake is something special. The graham cracker cake is ridiculous. Paired with marshmallow fluff and chocolate ganache for the filling and a toasted marshmallow swiss meringue buttercream. 🤤😍

As the holidays approach, a few announcements:

This year, I WILL be working Dec 23, 24, and 25th. So orders are now open for holiday decorated cakes and cupcakes for your gatherings!
I'll also be making monkey bread and cinnamon rolls for those mornings and taking a limited amount of orders for Christmas Star Breads and Yule Logs.
Cookie decorating kits will still be available as well.

With all that being said, I'm officially full for orders on Dec 19-22th. The only orders I'll take on for those days are cookie decorating kits.
